Kristina StahlWhy do you support Kingswood Oxford?
Supporting KO continues the legacy of our daughter, Kristina Stahl '95. She attended KO for seven years, was a prefect and co-captain for three varsity sports. She graduated from Colby College and was pursuing her master's degree at Middlebury College. She was a member of the Faculty as an English teacher in the KO Upper School from 1999 until her death in 2002.

Why is a KO education special?
KO does more than provide students with educational and leadership opportunities. Kristina transformed from an eager high school student and All-American athlete into an intellectual, a talented teacher and coach with passion and caring for her KO students. She learned that by example and from role models at KO — teachers, staff, parents and community. That's special!

What is your vision for the future of KO?
We have learned, whether by working as a Trustee, by co-chairing the parent organization, or by being long time donors that KO is an investment in quality learning. Big problems, big challenges for the future — the vision we have is KO transforming teaching and learning to meet whatever our young people need to be inspired, engaged and successful citizens.

Bill and Karin have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the continued growth and development of faculty at KO. They were instrumental in the creation of the New Faculty and Mentor program, and have helped the program grow tremendously over the past several years. I had the privilege of working with Kristina, and I feel proud to be able to honor her through my work with the new faculty. Because of the Stahl's generous support and true care for the faculty at KO we have been able to develop a program that provides support and professional growth opportunities for every new faculty member.

"My personal introduction to Kingswood Oxford was through the unbridled enthusiasm that the Stahl family lived and breathed for the school. Their passion and support for faculty and staff, academics, arts and sports, and all that is KO, embodies the true spirit of community. In many cases to include my own, this love for the school became contagious."
